I have always tried very hard to keep abreast of the ever changing lifestyle trends that come and go year on year. It’s not that I’m bothered about subscribing to them, but rather because, from a purely anthropological perspective, I believe they provide a fascinating insight into the values and people that make up modern society. Am I an intelligent and discerning man? That’s not for me to say. But the answer is yes.

The problem, however, is that the more you study these lifestyle trends, the more you come to understand how… just… annoying most of them are. And all that happens is you end up feeling angry and despondent about the values and people that make up modern society. Some of these trends
