As it is every week, the Super Bowl market has been updated following the handful of results from the week prior, and it’s become a toss up who is going to win the Super Bowl.
After Patrick Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain in the first half of the Kansas City Chiefs’ win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City has went from a considerable home favorite to a projected coin flip against the Bengals, sending the futures market into flux.
Here is the updated Super Bowl market:
Super Bowl Odds
These odds make sense given that each game is lined inside of a field goal, there is no clear cut favorite to advance out of championship weekend and into the Super Bowl.
Both home teams have questions about their quarterback’s health as Mahomes is nursing a bum ankle and Jalen Hurts noted ahead of last week’s win against the New York Giants that he is still not 100% after suffering a shoulder sprain last month.
However, Philadelphia will be playing the San Francisco 49ers, who are starting a seventh round rookie quarterback in Brock Purdy, and started to show signs of slowing down from his hot start against the Cowboys last week. The Niners gained only 312 total yards in the divisional round win and will face another elite defense in the Eagles on Sunday.
There’s a ton of uncertainty around the NFL futures market, but there’s only so many combinations left on the board, so plot out who you think is going to win this week and you may generate a valuable bet!
